CAIRO, GA (WALB) - A domestic violence awareness workshop made its final south Georgia stop Thursday in Cairo.
Representatives from the Georgia Commission on Family Violence spoke at Thursday's Grady County law enforcement appreciation luncheon.
The Commission spoke in Decatur and Mitchell Counties earlier this week about how to recognize signs of abuse.
"I think the last three days have been wonderful here in south Georgia. We've had the opportunity to train well over 150 law enforcement officers here in this community and to connect and educate them about the local resources of victims in this area," said Program Coordinator Jennifer Thomas.
If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, you can call 1-800-33-HAVEN for help.
